My Favorite Props for Boudoir & Glamour Photo Shoots

I don’t know about you but I’m generally pretty “extra”. You’d never guess by my every day attire (yoga pants and a band tee) but I’m super over the top and obsessed with all things glam. This is very much reflected in my client closet, The Glam Closet; that’s jam packed with heaps of extra AF things glam obsessed ladies like me dream about. So, what props do I recommend for a boudoir shoot? Let’s get into it!

Luxury Angel Wings

Ok this is an obvious one. Who doesn’t wanna be a Victoria’s Secret Angel for a hot minute? Representation is super important to me and having clients opt to wear our custom made feather wings, is another way to show that ANYONE could be an angel (or devil). Rock your favorite bodysuit and show the world what you’re made of!

Candles

Candles can set a mood or a tone like nothing else. These are my favorite when used for a spooky or ritual themed shoot. Please note, out of respect for our religious and witch friends, we won’t shoot a ritual “theme” unless you practice that faith and it is done with respect.

Fresh Flowers

Whether in your hair, hand tied, all around you and carried or surrounding you in a body of water, fresh flowers allow you to live your most ethereal goddess dream. And let’s be real, how often do we get to be a botanical beauty in our every day life?

Dramatic Furniture

Few things really frame you and add drama like having an opulent chair or sofa to drape yourself across.

Headdress, Veil or Crown

Whether flora or rhinestone, metal or a simple veil, nothing dresses up a shot like a prop. It gives a mood, tells a story and is a great way to really drive home the vibe you’re going for.

Cars

Vintage or modern, it’s hard to go wrong posing with a sweet ride!

Personal Items

It may seem simple but really personal items go a long way in customizing your photoshoot. Whether ballet shoes, daggers, your grandmother’s ring or the skull of a long passed pet, there’s no wrong way to personalize your photoshoot. If it has meaning to you, let us know and we can try to incorporate it into a few shots!
